Maddie's Jam

Maddie still has her sling on even though she was supposed to take it off yesterday. She's still complaining it hurts and can't raise it high, so I called to get her in with a specialist per doctors orders. Thankfully, I was able to get her in tomorrow morning.

Jeff had a college paper to write and her arm in a sling, it kept options kind of limited. So I asked her if she wanted to bake with me. She practically jumped for joy and said yes! This girl loves to be in the kitchen and help out in any way she can. I have to say it makes me proud. :) Anyway, I asked her what she wanted to make and it was her choice. The only thing was that I had to have the ingredients in the house. She chose jam! We have never done jam before but she was really excited about it. She had gotten this really cool princess cook book for her birthday from a friend of hers and it's pretty awesome. She is even more excited to do items in there.

So we pulled the book out and got started. I had her do majority of it. I only helped out where she couldn't do it with one hand. She couldn't wait to be the taste tester once it cooled enough. She was so proud of her accomplishment and wanted daddy to try it as well. Now, she keeps asking me what she can put it on. She is just dying to use it any way she can.

I can see many more adventures and memories being made with her throughout our years and I just can't wait to experience each and every one of them.

Until next time...  Have fun, be safe, and enjoy life...
